Heya! Back to school again on Monday (argh!) but I don’t know what it was but writing this post just made feel so happy; it gave me so much to look forward too. This post is really different from my usual weekly posts, but I thought it would be really fun to write! So here is the letter to my 16 year old self…..
Hey future me! I bet this will be so cringy to read in the future. When you read this your gonna be 16! (Haha!) How does it feel? I wonder what life is like in 2019… any flying cars yet, or expeditions to Mars! Do you still have an odd sense of humour? Do you still occasionally laugh your own jokes whilst no one else does! *cries with laughter*
You … well, I … well, you know what I mean, would have finished KS3 and be in sixth-form. Ahhhhh! You would have done your dreaded GCSE’s. *dramatic music DUM DUM DUMMMM* You would have to think about making plans for the future and all those other ‘grown up’ responsibilities. Yawn! What about all the fun stuff? Like living out all your dreams and travelling the world, specifically Australia! Tehehe!
Your birthday… Oh my what are going to do for your Sweet Sixteen. You need to start planning pronto. Who are going to invite, what are you going to wear? Dress or skirt? Sparkly or simple? Heels or flats? Hair up or hair down? All things you need to consider Olivia. You will finally feel comfortable smiling with your teeth at the camera because those braces will be off! YAY!
Keep on blogging, it’s something you have loved doing for so long and is such a lovely way to express yourself and just have a good time. With all the cute pictures and little P.S notes at the end of each post! Do you still do that by the way?
Maybe you should get a Saturday job… you know just to get a little but of cash coming in! (Hehe!) Even if it doesn’t pay much, I’m sure it could help go toward a fraction of your University fees and maybe a shopping trip or two!
I’m no advice expert, you know that more than anyone because I can’t even give myself good constructive advice, but stay smiling, be bold, be strong and don’t let things get you down. You are wearing yourself out mentally and physically, no literally you really are, because frowning uses more muscles in your face whilst smiling uses less muscles in your face. (Hahaha I felt so smart saying that, when really it was just something I heard sometime last year.) If you smile you automatically feel at least a little better. Try it right now!
Keep on dancing, in your room and at the studio and maybe one day you will perform in front of a live crowd and not just a congregation of pillows and teddy bears! I hope by now your hair is lusciously long and you did end up dip dying it as you always said you would and of course you can’t forget about your cartilage piercing!
Hang in there girl, the road gets bumpy, but eventually you will find a few diamonds mingling between the rocks. Hahaha who am I kidding, I’m not good with that kind of sensitive stuff, like you know I can’t keep a straight face in serious situations. Well that’s it, so all that’s left to say is see you in 3 years!
P.S: I hope ya liked that! I was going to make it all heart felt but then I decided to have a little more fun with it! If you could say one thing to your future/past 16 year old self, what would you say? Byesies Xx
