Hey, HAPPY EASTER!! I hope you’re all having a wonderful Easter break and a great time eating all of your Easter eggs! (Hehe!) Many of you will know about my love for Australia; my dream holiday destination, #1 on my bucket list! I was looking through a travelling magazine the other day and stumbled across a whole double page spread on Australia, so as you could probably imagine I was immediately hooked! Someone had written about their time spent ‘Down Under’ and composed their own little Bucket List of places that they’d love to visit next time, so I kinda wanted to make my own Australian Bucket List and share it with you guys. I printed out a bunch of photos and made a mini collage in my scrapbook of all the gorgeous places that I would love to visit!
SWIM WITH WHALE SHARKS – WESTERN AUSTRALIA
In Ningaloo, on the Western Coast of Australia, you’re able to swim with whale sharks! I had never heard of a ‘whale shark’ before, but I guess their name is quite self-explanatory. They are huge, growing up to 18 meters in length and thankfully harmless to humans. It just seems like an experience that you could never forget and it would also be really cool so say that you have swum alongside a whale shark!
VISIT WHITE HAVEN BEACH
Now this place is beyond gorgeous! It’s a lovely beach with the most beautiful clear waters and this intricate kind of kaleidoscopic swirled pattern on the water that can be seen clearly at an aerial view. And since the water is so clear, it makes it the perfect place to go diving because you would be able to see all the little fishes beneath you! Surrounded by greenery, this beach just seems like it would be ever so peaceful and relaxing.
SNORKEL AT THE GREAT BARRIER REEF – QWEENSLAND
Snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef…where do I start! One of the most renowned places for snorkeling, a concealed underwater world. I would just love to be able to take a break from the outside world, to explore the depths of the ocean beneath me and look at all the creatures and sea life living in the water. It would also be a great opportunity to get some underwater photos!
CLIMB SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE…AT NIGHT
This has been a life goal of mine from day one! When the sun has set and the city is flooded in darkness, but still illuminated by the sparkling lights on the buildings, that is when I want to climb the bridge. I want to get the best panorama view of Sydney and be able to look down to see the city below. I love heights and this just seems exhilarating! I want this to be one of the first things I do when I’m in Australia.
TWIST AND TURN IN THE MINTARO MAZE
This one is just for a good old bit of fun! Running in and out and around corners, on a mission to be the first one to get to the middle! I just want to let loose and have some fun as well as have some friendly competition in the Mintaro Maze.
SKY DIVE – SOUTH AUSTRALIA
For when my adrenaline is a little low, I will just jump out of a plane to land on the soft beach bellow me! (Tehehe!) I’ve always wanted to know what it was like to Sky Dive since I saw them do it in ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ There is definitely a part of me that would be terrified to do this, but ya know what, you only live once and I might as well go in for the plunge while I have the opportunity!
SWIM WITH DOLPHINS
A dream since I was a little kido! I mean swimming with dolphins, come on it doesn’t get much better than that! I just want to see their little fins flap as they swim, their tails flick up as they jump and hear their little squeaky voices as they communicate with their dolphin friends.
BORA BORA ISLAND, FRENCH POLYNESIA
Bora Bora Island is utter perfection! I really want to go there and stay in one of the cutesy little bungalows and be submerged in the turquoise waters around the hut and the white sandy beach. Down in the waters, there is a great bunch of coral reef which gives the water such a bright colour. I must admit, this is probably more of a honeymoon-ish destination but I still 100% want to visit this lovely island one day.
VISIT PINK LAKE
This is incredibly rare, a lake…that’s bright pink! I have to see this! It’s in the Western area of Australia and is 4 km long. It’s surrounded by sand and a ton of greenery. No one really knows why the lake is pink, but it’s a natural beauty and I would love to see it one day.
There are still so many more things that I wanna do, like hug a koala bear (they are soooo cute!), go to Bondi beach and of course go shopping in some Aussie shops! It was so hard to whittle it down to just a few places but hopefully, in a few years time, I will be writing back to you all about all the adventures I’ve had in Australia and be able to tick off some things off of my bucket list!
P.S: Hey there! I have a little question for ya, so on the weekend something very exciting happened and I really want to share it with you guys! Would you prefer to see it next week on Sunday, the regular upload day, or a little sooner? Enjoy your Easter! Byesies! Xxxxx
