Heyyy! I’m so so so so so excited for today’s post! After running a poll over on my Twitter, (which you can follow if ya don’t already, a bit of cheeky self promo!) asking if you’d like to see some Back To School posts, you guys all seemed to want some so that’s what I’m bringing you today! I think the most exciting part of going back to school is the shopping part and all the fun little bits of preparation that come with it. I think that we can agree that the whole going back to school and back to the stacks of homework is the worst part of going ‘back to school’. I’ve picked up a bunch of new things in preparation for September, some of them are the necessities whilst others, I’m not even gonna lie, I just bought because I just thought that they were cute. I went into 3 main shops so I’m gonna go ahead and show ya what I splashed my cash on in each store!
The first thing that I went on the hunt for was a new backpack. Before I just had a plain backpack and I wanted something with a lil’ more pizzazz if ya know what I mean! I still wanted it to be reasonably practical so it wouldn’t get too dirty and that’s when I spotted this cutie. It may look like just a plain old paint splattered bag, but oh no my friends, this thing glows in the dark!!! (Say whaaaatt!?) Oh yes indeed! It is super spacious inside and has so many compartments and a handy little pocket at the front too. I picked it up from a shop called Boros which is a bag shop, but the actual backpack brand is called Spiral.
So my pencil case is actually a makeup bag but it was just so gorgeous that I couldn’t resist. It’s main body is all holographic which I thing is just beautiful, with a silver zipper and a purple inner lining. It’s really spacious and will definitely be able to fit all of my supplies inside for sure and it was such a great price too!
At school we always get given letters or loose sheets for homework so I normally just keep a folder in my bag to store those in. This one has a cute colourful print on it and was an absolute bargain from Wilko. You know Wilko actually how some really cute affordable back to school supplies which you wouldn’t think.
Normally I would just get normal wooden pencils, but after watching countless YouTube hauls I saw that mechanical pencils were super popular so I thought, ya know what, I will try out some new mechanical pencils this year and see how I get along.
I tend to make quite a few mistakes in class and end up asking my friends for some tip-ex since I never used to have my own, so I just picked up 2 of these correction pens for 50p each.
As much as I HATE maths, I’ve gotta have all the equipment for it so I got another geometry set since my last set broke.
This is probably the best bargin that I picked up all in all. This sharpener was only 35p! It’s a good size and should do a mighty good job.
I thought that these would be really good for separating the different topics that we do in my binder because before my folder was in a right state and things got mixed up so easily.
Rulers, just another one of those things that are essential really and the fact that it folds in half makes it really convenient.
So for Science I have a binder and I insert lined paper for all the notes we take in class and the holes in the lined paper always used to rip meaning loads of papers would be falling out of place. These re-inforcers should hopefully fix that.
For the lanyard, it’s not really a necessity, but it was such a nice colour and I though that it would look nicer in comparison to my old one.
So I guess markers and colouring pencils are just the standard really. The markers came in a pack of 20 and were only £1! The coloured pencils came in a pack of 16, were £2 and get this, they are erasable, I mean how cool is that!
I managed to grab a mighty good deal on some erasers. They are in a pack of 3 and are quite big with bright neon stripes.
I mean we’ve all been there at the beginning of the year, starting off with a ton of pens then by the end of the year having literally none left that work. I thought I may as well buy a little more than I need and a pack of 12 pens should do the trick.
I have to cover my school books in adhesive to stop the edges from scuffing or getting bent. In The Works they had them selling for 59p each or 2 for £1, so I picked up 6 and only had to pay £3. Online they also do a pack of 4 for £2, so it just comes in really handy in order to keep school books in tact and lasting for longer.
That’s officially all my back to school shopping done! I did also pick up some plain ruled revision cards which were not included in this post but other that, this is my school shopping over and done with. I hope that you enjoyed reading today’s post and I shall speak to you again next week for one more cheeky lil’ school themed post before I head back to school.
P.S: I go back to school on September 7th and am going into Year 9 (ahh scary!) When do you go back to school and what year are you going into? Go ahead and let me know when you do in the comments so we can count down the days together. Byesies! Xxxx
