Hey everyone! How are you all getting on? I’ve just broken up from school for a 1 week half term break which doesn’t seem nearly long enough but it will have to do I guess! (Hehehehe!) Now I don’t know about you, but I’ve really been getting into that fall festivity and I recently went to the shops to pick up some new makeup bits. I haven’t done a makeup look/tutorial in a while so I asked in 2 weeks ago if wanted to see one and it got a rather positive response so here I am bringing one today! I just wanna say I’m in no way a makeup expert and this is really just me playing with products and sharing it with you all along the way. I made the look rather wearable but still managed to incorporate that autumnal pizzazz.
So before I apply any makeup to my face, I like to moisturize my skin using the Garnier Moisture Nourish Daily Rich Moisturiser and then after that has soaked in prime my face with the Nivea Hydration Primer.
Hopping into the makeup now, I first take my NYX HD Concealer in the shade Nutmeg and pop that underneath my eyes and a little around my chin and mouth area. I typically just blend it in with my fingers but I’ve been finding that some new complexion sponges have been working great for me too. ( a full review on them will be up next week! ) Then I just set that with my Collection Pressed Powder to ensure the concealer doesn’t move around throughout the day.
Once the base is don I move onto my eyebrows. Now I don’t really do anything too fancy really, I just take the MUA Eyebrow Pencil in the shade Brunette to lightly fill in any sparse areas and use the spoolie on the other end to brush through my brows as I go along. Occasionally, I will run some concealer around the parts of my brow that need a little tidy up too.
Now onto the fun part, the eye makeup! To begin I just took a matte orange shade from a NARS duo ( Full Review Here ) and used that as my transitional shade by just buffing it into my crease using a deluxe crease brush by Real Techniques. Then I took Pleasure Girl and Thank Friday from the Revolution I Heart Chocolate Palette to add further dimension to my crease.
The eyeshadow could just be left here, but I opted to add some subtle shimmers and burgundy shades too. So I grabbed the shade Love Divine from that same Revolution palette and packed that on the inner two thirds of my eye. Then to make the look even more autumnal, I took the shade What A Way to Go mixed with the shade Stolen Chocolate to create the most gorgeous smoky burgundy to blend on the outer third of my eye into my previous transitional colours.
To now top off the eyeshadow look I added my absolute fave eyeliner, the Collection Gel Liner. I took this on a Real Techniques fine liner brush and created my typical winged liner look. The look should be really coming together, now so to move onto the lashes I took my rose gold eyelash curlers and then gave my lashes a good coating of the L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky mascara.
Lastly, I just quickly dipped back into the Revolution palette again, taking the shade Endorphins Ready as my inner corner highlight. To finish off the face I added a tiny amount of the Natural Collection Sun Tint Bronzing Powder to give my cheeks some glow and gave myself a nice smooth layer of the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Ginger Snap.
And viola! That is the makeup look that I came up with for you all. It’s a little more makeup than I would usually wear but I think nevertheless it looks fabulous. The products used in this look cam easily be substituted out for other items or removed as a whole but I really do hope you enjoyed reading today. Be sure to share your makeup looks or your re-creations with me on Twitter @olivia_alesha and for now all there is to say is see you next week!
P.S: If you would like any specific reviews on any products mentioned in this post then feel free to let me know and I can bring those to you soon. Byesies! Xxxxxxxx
