Hey guys! I wanted to do some sort of ‘Interior Inspiration’ kinda post, like a room tour, but then I looked around my room and saw a whole load of boxes and unpacked stuff so I knew that wouldn’t work! If you didn’t already know late last year I moved houses so am still in the process of re-vamping my room to make it look Tumblr worthy. (tehee) So instead I decided to do a mini desk tour, since it’s the only part of my room looking decent at the moment! It’s not as in depth as I would like as I haven’t got everything in place yet but I just gotta work with what I’ve got I guess!
So I like to keep my desk area looking quite minimalistic and quite aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Right above my desk I am in the middle of creating what I would call a little photo frame collage. I just like the way that they are arranged and I think it looks really cute against the white walls; it brings back a bit of life to something that was rather plain before! Suspended on the walls are a chalkboard weekly agenda that I got from Primark and two other white photo frames that I’m yet to fill.
Moving down onto my actual desk, which is from the IKEA MALM desk series, I have a bunch of stuff scattered around the surface. Starting on the far right hand corner I have my gorgeous copper light from IKEA, an assortment of flowers in a clear vase and my wooden mannequin poised beside the flowers. I also have my little white lantern with a cactus tea light inside which I think just looks lovely, like you can’t get cuter than a extra mini cactus tea light! ( whoa that’s a mouthful to say!)
Smack bang in the middle of my desk is my laptop which I am pretty much always on. Once you see me on my laptop, there is no getting me off again! I haven’t quite worked out where I want to keep my 3 cacti yet so for now their home is just among the other bits and bobs behind my laptop. Tucked underneath my desk is have my spinney chair that often leaves me feeling really dizzy after spinning in circles for so long!
The last section of the top of my desk is where I keep my IKEA SKURAR pots. So the smallest pot contains my makeup brushes from brands like Elegant Touch, Lydia Professional & Real Techniques. Just next to that is my little slanted kabuki brush from The Body Shop. The larger pot is filled to the brim with nail polishes of all sorts from glitter to matte, to bright and dark I have them all! I’ve also been getting into scrapbooking in the holidays so I just keep my scrapbook on my desk too.
All that’s left of my workspace are the two drawers underneath. The drawer in the far left is my craft drawer so it has a bunch of cute notebooks and art supplies. So in there I just keep some washi tapes and some bookmark tabs, some scrapbooking goodies from La.De.Dah and my blog planning notebooks. My favourites are this large notebook that says ‘ Great ideas have to start somewhere’ and a planner that says ‘Live in the moment’. They are both so motivational for when you have those off days.
My other drawer has all of my makeup in so if you would like to see an in-depth makeup collection post then just let me know and I would be happy to do one! I hope you liked this weeks post and I shall see you again next week, but watch out, there may be a surprise post just thrown in before next weekend so keep your eyes peeled! Speak to you soon!
P.S: As you can see ‘Olivia Alesha’ has had a slight design change, well when I say slight I mean rather big! Anyways finishing touches to be made over this week! Hope you like it! Byesies! Xxxxx
