Heya!! How ya doing? I am so worn out. I’ve done so much over this week and yesterday I popped down to Southend with a bunch of family and friends for the whole day and oh my let me tell you, that day way jam packed! While I was there I got some nice little piccys so I thought, ya know what, let me share the with you guys! My last Get Ready With Me was one of the most popular posts on my blog so I thought that it’d be nice to bring a somewhat new ‘Day In My Life’ style post. (Spoiler alert: Be prepared to see some cute lil’ beach pics!!)
6:45am – Lethargically flopping out of bed to begin the day. (This is like CRAZY early for because ngl, I’ve been waking up at around the 10:30 am mark, i know crazy huh?!) After I checked my phone, I kinda just did the normal everyday sort of things in the bathroom and then made myself a nice really quick breakfast. I had some cheerios with some fruit salad on the side, nothing to fancy or complicated.
I next off got dressed and since I knew that it was going to be really warm, I opted for a really summery outfit, similar to the one you saw in my recent style post.
It was then around 7:40 am so I moved onto my makeup which was really light and simple since I didn’t really wanna be wearing a full face of makeup in the heat. So I just went for a lil’ bit of eyeliner and mascara and that was it and I used the most gorgeous rose gold eyelash curlers (will be seen in a future post) and I mean honestly they are perfection!
8.00 am We left the house to begin the drive to Southend. The drive was actually really good, it was strange though, one second we were in busy London and the next we were cruising through the countryside! It only took us about 1hr 15mins so reasonably quick and the journey seemed to go pretty fast as we were there within no time!
Arriving at about 9:15 am we went to go and find a nice little spot on the beach front and laid out our blankets and picked up a few deck chairs too. After that my cousins and I began venturing around to see where things were and what things were like and from this point on we were just a bit all over the place. Hopping from one destination to another and then going back to the beach for refreshments.
There was so much to do! One of the things that we did do was go to the Arcades, we popped into a few different ones and as usual I was hooked on the 2p falls machines but was eventually able to pull myself away. (Tehehe!) There some amazing games there that I’d never seen before too, like Mario & Sonic At The Rio Olympics 2016 games, I guess it’s kinda a variation of the Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games.
We won a ton of tickets between so we put them together to buy some sweets and a beach ball to play with by the sea front.
A few of us went into the shopping center but I had to stop myself from going because I knew for sure that if I went in there, I wouldn’t come out for a good few hours and then return with countless bags!
Though the best bit by far was the theme park! Oh my goodness I don’t know how I can sum up how amazing it was in as little words as possible. The rides were just beyond incredible and the whole atmosphere was just phenominal! Each ride was worth a certain amount of tokens and each token was £1, so if a ride was 4 tokens it would equate to £4 and so on. You could buy a wristband that would let you go on all the rides for around £20 but since there were only a few specific rides that I wanted to go on I just payed for them individually.
I went on a load of rides but the best one was called Rage. You can probably type it into YouTube and watch a video of what the ride is like because I’m not great at explaining things like this but I’ll give it a go! So the climb on the ride to the top was completely vertical, it felt like you were laying down in a bed. Then once you got to the top there was no pause it plummeted straight down a beyond vertical drop to go straight into a loop-the-loop then into these fast twists and turns and upside down elements. Oh my it was the perfect ride for an adrenaline junkie! Absolutely incredible to say the least!
Towards the end we just sat by the beach and enjoyed our little picnic that we brought along with us and of course got some pictures together. So that kinda concluded my day and I ending up getting home at about 8 pm and it was truely a good day well spent.
I hope you all enjoyed reading about what I got up to and if you do find yourself in Southend and are feelin’ quite brave, then definitely give Rage a go! Speak to ya all next week!
P.S: I’m currently writing a load of posts, including the ones that were requested in the past, so feel free to drop a comment letting me know of there are any posts that you would like to see! Byesies! Xxxx
