Hey guys! Today is my last day of half term and I’m literally dreading going back to school all over again. I’ve had the majority of my assessments now and since it’s coming up to Christmas I hope the work lays off a bit haha! But I think we can tell from the leaves outside and the ones falling on this blog that AUTUMN IS OFFICIALLY HERE! Colder, darker nights and wearing oversized jumpers and drinking hot choc, who am I kidding I love in cozy jumpers all year around! Today I’m gonna help all you guys and gals out by telling you how to stay glowin’ on a budget. Just because outside is dull and cold, doesn’t mean that your glow has to be too so allow me to shed some light on the some of the best golden makeup bits.
LOCATE THE STORE
This part is the easiest for finding the best glow deal because there are so many stores to choose from! Of course you have your Superdrug and Boots but let’s not forget TKMaXx and the online stores. Honestly, TKMaXx is the place to find high end/American makeup for a fraction of the price. Not long ago I found a Nars Duo Eyeshadow in there! Sometimes it’s good to not always look in the most obvious places as you may find some hidden gems elsewhere. Also online there are typically sales so websites like BeautyBay or individual makeup brand sites like the ELF website are great to stay glowing on a budget.
RAKE THE SHELVES
Now the best thing to do is to not go towards the obvious. Branch out and try new brands that you may not have tried before, like I’ve recently tried the Freedom Pro Blush Palette and it resembles my higher end highlighters! Even picking up a pretty lil gold or pearlescent eyeshadow could double up as a beautiful highlighter. Look out for the hidden gems amongst brands you may be unfamiliar with. Some of my fave underrated// not raved enough brands are: Barry M, Freedom, Technic, MUA, ELF, Sleek, NYX.
MAKE YOUR MOVE
Once you’ve found what you are looking for, go forth and treat yourself and get your glow on! These are some of my fave products that give me that ‘golden glow’:
- Freedom Pro Blush Palette Bronze Baked -£6.00
- Technic Bronzing Eyeshadow Palette -£2.95
- Technic Strobe Kit Blush -£1.99
- Technic FX Strobe Cream – £2.99
- BangGood Loose Glitter -£4.35
- Natural Collection Bronzing Powder – £2.99
- MUA Opalescent Amber – £3.00
P.S: This has been the most busy half term that I’ve ever had! I’ve done something every single day since last Saturday. Today is the only day that I haven’t needed to go out, what have you guys been up to? Byesies! Xxxx
