Under Lock & Key

April 9, 2017

Hey guys! Now as you know I now have an art section on my blog. I love drawing, art and creating things and always have, so really wanted to incorporate it into my blog since it’s something I’m so passionate about. The other day, I was just sitting in bed listening to music at around 10pm and had an idea come to me. All I thought was “lock and key”. I have no idea how it came into my head but it did and it really inspired me to create something with that as the main idea. I had no initial plan of how I wanted it to look but had a vague idea of what I wanted it to represent. I took some photos of the drawing process along the way which you can see as you keep scrolling. If you want to know the meaning behind this piece, then continue reading ’till the end <3

 THE MEANING

If you have read my post about Living In Your Thoughts, you’d know that I had been quite caught up in my mind recently. I feel like there are times when you like to voice your thoughts and other times when you don’t. For different reasons you may want to share or conceal what’s going on in your head, but I think that we all have those things that never come out. The things we keep under lock and key. I drew this to represent how someone can have things that they choose not to share and also how your thoughts can weigh you down; hence the chains and the large locks.

Well, that’s all I have for you today and I hope you liked seeing something slightly different on my blog. Let me know what you think of these art//drawing post and feel free to let me know if you have any requests!

P.S: How has your Easter break been going, have you got any plans? Byesies! Xxxxx

Thank you so much! The meaning to the drawing just came naturally which was quite nice and it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who gets caught up in my thoughts.
