Hey guys! I’m feeling the Summer vibes right now I really am! I mean the sun can’t decided whether it’s out or in half the time in London but when it’s out, it’s all good. How has your Summer been going? I went away with some friends to the Isle of Wight for 5 days and it was AMAZING!! It was just so cool to get the train and ferry by ourselves and just have like a lil mini holiday together. Anywho, today I have for you quick review on something that I recently received in the mail. Technic Cosmetics were so lovely and sent me over their new brush cleaner. They even threw in two of their gorgeous brushes too which was a nice lil surprise! Now I don’t know about you guys but my brushes are pretty much always dirty. I can never be bothered to clean them so I just try to find another brush to do its job but there’s only so many brushes I have! So I tried this brush cleaner out and was very very impressed and here are my thoughts…
How sweet is this! They wrote me a little letter explaining everything about the products and their brand and I just thought is was so nice. For those you who don’t know about Technic Cosmetics, they are a Cosmetic brand who stock a range of high quality, affordable makeup products and brushes.
Like I previously mentioned, Technic kindly sent over two of their brushes from the Technic Pro range along with the brush cleaner. They sent a Pro Blender Brush and a large powder brush. I was so genuinely shocked at how soft these were. They glided along the skin so smoothly and blended product so well. Neither of the brushes picked up too much product and they both managed to distribute the makeup evenly. I especially like using the Pro Blender Brush for in the crease to blend my transition shades.
Now, on to the cleaner. Above is what the packaging for Brush Cleaner looks like. It is a very wide, quite deep, circular pot. On the back there are some directions for use and there is also a lil demo pic on the front which is nice and helpful. As you can see, this is a solid brush cleaner meaning it is activated by water. It is described as having a very light “fresh cucumber fragrance” and it definitely lives up to this. If you are not one for strong scents, then this is for you. The scent is so subtle that you can’t really smell it that much at all which I really liked. It smelt more fresh than of something specific, which meant that it didn’t leave any fragrant scents on my brushes. The actual cleaner itself is also transparent which I feel adds to the “fresh” vibe that they were going for with this product.
As you can see, I have a lot of dirty brushes! There were some more but they didn’t quite fit (hehe!). So I’m going to take you step by step through my cleaning process using the Technic Brush Cleaner.
The process is honestly so simple and quick! I began by wetting my dirty brush and then swept it over the solid cleaner in circular motions. Then, I worked up a lather by spiraling the brush in the palm of my hand. Lastly, I rinsed the suds away from the brush and was then left with a beautifully clean brush. I found the lather to be so much better in this soap that what I used to use, baby soap. Not only were the tips of my brush cleaner, but so were the lower bristles as it managed to clean deeper into my brush and get rid of deep-rooted residue.
Here is a before and after of two of my brushes and you can see the massive difference! I now have all my brushes cleaned up and ready to use!
So those were my thoughts on the Technic Brush Cleaner. I think it makes cleaning your makeup brushes so much less of a chore because it’s so quick and easy to use. After my brushes dried, they didn’t have any change in texture or have a leftover scent which is perfect! I genuinely really happy with this product and now I’m not dreading the next brush wash day so much. Have you guys tried solid brush cleaners before? I hope you have a fantastic week!
P.S: I have had a packed week and I’m loving it! Of course I’m gonna need some rest time but I’m so happy and content right now! Byesies! Xxxxx
