Heya! How have you all been? I put up a little poll over on my Twitter asking you what you all wanted to see this weekend and the majority vote was for an updated skincare routine. Wow, it seems like I haven’t done a skincare routine in soooo long, I guess the last one was back in March actually! So I thought ya know what, let me bring you guys an updated one since it’s been quite a while and it was what you lovely readers wanted to see. I mean my routine hasn’t changed very much at all, but for the small things that have changed they have been making a large difference. My skin and lips just naturally get so much dryer so I find that I have to alter my routine to suit the different seasons.
My morning routine is probably the quickest in comparison to my night time one since it’s what I have to do before school, so everything is a little hectic in the mornings.
Firstly i simply just wash my face, I’m still using the Tea Tree Foaming Facial Wash as I feel as though it really does work for me but I’ve also discovered the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub. I am yet to try this one out but I’ll let you guys know how it goes. Anyways I just wash my face with my facial wash, rince off the excess and pat my face dry with a towel.
I then take my Simple Toner to soothe my skin and then I follow that with my Garnier moisturizer. I’ve honestly gone through so many of these moisturizers I just love them so much and they keep my skin super hydrated and leave a lovely smooth base for my makeup or primer.
And that is literally all I do for my morning skincare, now as for my night routine it slightly differs.
For my night routine I always start off by removing all of the makeup that I may have had on that day. This is where mmy routine changes up quite a bit. I used to swear by my Garnier Micealler Water but now I’m obsessed with the Tea Tree Micealler Water and am already half way through my second bottle! I use it every single day even if I’m not wearing makeup just to het rid off any dirt build up and just as a general skin refresher really.
Then I will go ahead and wash my face with that same face wash followed by the matching Daily Tea Tree Exfoliator. I never used to be a fan of exfoliators but this one is so gentle on the skin, not scratchy at all and still manages to fully exfoliate my skin.
Moving onto moisturiser, I used to use the same moisturizer as I did during the day, but I have found my newest holy grail night time moisturizer. It is the Garnier Moisture + Restore Night Care Cream. I particularly like this because it has a gel base, so I find it a lot more light weight and more deeply hydrating on my skin. A little bit goes a long way with this product too so I find that it lasts a very long time. Lastly I will just chuck on some lip balm and that would be my skincare routines complete!
So that was what my skincare routine consists of at the moment. I like to keep it quite relatively short and sweet as I feel more motivated to do actually do my routine when it’s shorter and less time consuming. Make sure you stick around on here too because the Christmas posts will be coming your way soon! I will speak to ya all next week!
P.S: How are you guys liking the little christmassy makeover on my site? Do any of you have any skincare recommendations because I wanna try out some new brands and products but there are so many to choose from? Byesies! Xxxxxx
